There are many ways to get involved at Leopold:
Walking School Bus
Open Schoolhouse is held every Tuesday from 6-7:30 pm. During this time, Leopold is open for family-fun activities and programming related to student achievement and community well-being. Volunteers interact with kids and help support a range of activities (e.g. recreation in the gym, crafts in the cafeteria, reading books in the library).
Leopold School Garden
Our school garden needs your help with garden maintenance during the summer! Whether you’re a gardening expert or not, your support can help our garden and community grow.
If interested in any of the opportunities above, please contact AmeriCorps VISTA, Kao Yong Thao
Schools of Hope
Leopold is part of the Schools of Hope Project which coordinates volunteers to tutor students during the school day. Volunteering through the Schools of Hope AmeriCorps Project allows volunteers to work with students consistently throughout the semester or year on literacy or math. Volunteers are asked to dedicate at least an hour a week to tutor. Tutoring provides a great opportunity to help students achieve academic success while building positive relationships.
To volunteer through Schools of Hope, please contact our tutor coordinator.
